Ophrys dodekanensis (Dodecanese Ophrys):
P. Delforge and Kühn/Pedersen/Cribb do not consider this small Ophrys a distinct species, instead linking it to Ophrys heterochila. This is not the case for Greek authors, who follow the classification of Kretzschmar and Kreutz. The variability among the different taxa, as well as possible hybridizations, makes identification difficult. This Ophrys is known to be small and to grow in partial shade. On site, I indeed encountered some small flowers, but also medium-sized ones — making their identification more debatable.
