Ophrys biscutella.
Ophrys à deux losanges.
.

Medium-sized ophrys with a round, very rounded labellum and which has a small pointed appendage. More or less extensive macular patterns in the shape of simple diamonds most often gave the name to the species. This taxon is attached to Ophrys argolica and must therefore be considered as a subspecies or local variety of southern Italy.

The shape and colouring of the petals and sepals vary greatly as can be seen in the photos presented, but we will always find the 2 diamonds and the small pointed appendage at the end of the labellum.
