Neotinea maculata.
Orchis intact (ou maculé).
Dense flowered orchid.

Another inconspicuous pastel greenish to beige plant with hints of red, purple or brown. It often measures in the 10/15 cm at most and can reach 30 cm. 2 to 3 leaves at the base and possibly another wrapper.

The inflorescence is dense with small, rather closed flowers. The flowers appear messy, which is rather rare in orchids.

A plant around the Mediterranean, it can only be found in the south of France and in façade atlantique (western Brittany included).
